Chapter 01

A landscape being made.

In May 2021, I worked around the Fagradalsfjall eruption on Iceland’s Reykjanes Peninsula. Ground cameras, aerial work and time in the field offered different ways to tell the story of the same changing landscape.

Chapter 02

The work around the frame.

Transport, equipment setup, weather and flight decisions shape what is possible. The photographs of helicopters, camera positions and fieldwork belong beside the final images because they explain how the story was made.

Chapter 03

Fire is one chapter.

Earlier work in Iceland explored ice caves, glacial water, winter light and the road between locations. Seen together, the photographs describe a country in motion rather than a single spectacle.
